The firm targets service-based businesses, light/niche industrial manufacturers, and value-added distribution companies generating between $500K – $3M in EBITDA. The firm engages in leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, growth equity investments, and other forms of recapitalizations to provide owners with liquidity options as they look to exit their business. The fund is family funded and evergreen – we do not buy and flip companies. ValueStreet holds its investments and fosters growth over the long term. The intern will work closely with ValueStreet leadership to source new investment opportunities by directly contacting business owners and helping to build banking and other intermediary relationships on behalf of the firm. Additionally, the intern will perform ad-hoc industry/financial analysis and be involved in leadership team discussions/meetings as it relates to firm strategy and forming investment theses.

Undergraduate student in your junior or senior year who has a business/analytical related major. This person should have an entrepreneurial mind set and have an interest in private equity, investment banking, venture capital, consulting, business development, or corporate finance. This individual should be highly comfortable developing new relationships and speaking with business owners and other executives. Initiative and fortitude are a must as the intern must be able to navigate ambiguous situations. This person should possess a fundamental business acumen, be personable, able to implement constructive feedback, and enjoy exploring new ideas and investment themes. Technical skills should include experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
This is an unpaid internship that must be completed for course credit.
